I feel that so many parents have become so caught up in life that they miss what is actually happening around them. I know because it was happening to me. I see so many moms constantly bothered by their children while they are in public. They rush through the day to day activities (such as grocery shopping, going to the bank, and doing laundry) and just drag their kids along. I surprisingly felt myself becoming that way (let's face it 2 kids is way harder than I thought.) My mom was always great at seeing things a different way. So with her help (and lots of prayer) I am on my way to improvement back to the mom I started out to be. I want to enjoy my kids and feel like I add to their lives in every situation... even while I get the "must-do's" done. To Rowan it means that watering Nana's plants becomes a fireman's adventure. At times it may take a little longer than I would like, but hey what is time? As long as we don't rush through life without living it he can take all the time he needs. Plus, I have to admit I am starting to have as much fun during errands as my kids are.

Cutest Pre-K kid I know
Rowan is going to Pre-K this year and I cannot BELIEVE it. He is so eager to learn and he retains knowledge so well. He is going to thrive in his new enviroment.
Well to keep up with my grandparents tradition my mom and dad take all the kids (in seperate shifts so they don't go mental) school supply shopping. Rowan was more thrilled about his push pop than shopping at first but he eventually got the hang of it. Now we have been practicing writing his name and using scissors so he feels more confident when he goes! He loves to take his things out of his backpack (which is none-the-less personalized Star Wars) and re-organize them. I think he is going to look so cute is his uniform. I am looking forward to some special time with Brinley but it sure will be quiet while he is away at school.
